Trendvision Hair Competition Photography & Retouch

This project was a photography shoot as well as a photo retouch project for the Trendvision BEAs Hairstylist competition. Pro hairstylists create an editorial look that you’d see in a magazine and the objective for the photographer/designer is to communicate the vibe that the stylist intends to evoke. I was responsible for the lighting, studio photography session and then the retouching sessions where the very best qualities of the image are brought out. The client did not want a heavy handed touch on the photo-retouch, opting for a more organic look that matched the vibe of the earthy tones in the model’s look. The background was also changed for something that, again, evoked more of an earth tone vibe.
